Dominuura/Rimone icons for Fandom Empire Challenge: "Never again"

In which I start the year by going back to my perennial love: Simoun.

My challenge for this week was: "Never again" (first words).

This is a return to episodes 15 and 16, focused on Dominuura and Rimone. Right after Dominuura breaks down from seeing the past/future in the Simoun's engine, and following her recovery up until they complete the Emerald Ri Maajon, sending them back in time. Dominuura who had to accept that what she never wanted to happen again... was always going to happen and she had to make it happen. The Pair that was fated to meet, and never again would be seen by their friends.

These episodes are full of bittersweet last meetings which could have fitted the challenge too, but I focused on the Pair's fate.

The episodes those are from are very moody and emotional, so I tried my best to convery some feelings of unsettled-ness through the first icons, and peace in the last ones.

The last two icons look sort of metallic and really beautiful! ♡ And now I'm intrigued by the show itself (I've never heard of it before) because it has time travel. :D

Time travel is only a minor part of the show so I don't know how relevant it might be to your interests! The short summary is that it's a sci-fi yuri show that takes place on a planet where everyone is born female (they get to choose their gender at around 17 yo). The Simouns are basically mechas. They can only be piloted by people who haven't chosen their gender yet, and they're used to pray to the god of time & space, but they're also super powerful so when the series start, the young priestesses are forced to use them for war and become soldiers.

Thank you so much for the summary, it definitely made me even more intrigued! :D What a cool premise, in addition to the minor time travel! I think I'm sold, and I'm going to end up watching it (maybe not immediately, but sooner or later). :D
